I love this true red and was going to use it with slate blue and gray in a striped baby garment or blanket. But I’m glad I decided to use it for the sweater.

The pattern is fun! I was worried about running out of yarn even though I had a few more yards in the skeins I chose than was called for. I ended up with 6g of yarn left--two walnut sized balls that will go in my baby sock jar.

All that is left is blocking and button selection. I will wash and block later. The wool is washable so I will probably put in the dryer until barely damp and then shape the shoulders so it doesn’t look so much like a funnel!

I will select a button from my button jars. I have a whole jar of red to orange buttons. I found one I like that was on top, but I think I will dump out the jar and look through them all.
