Notes

This is being made from some of the coned yarn that Marsha (mfuesel) and I dyed this summer. I would love to have a yarn dyeing business.

The yarn is a blend of wool, acrylic, and angora. It was one of the few in the scavenged box of natural colored coned yarn (mostly designed for weaving) that wasn’t scratchy or stiff.

The color was two shades of brown and a tiny bit of red. Before reskeining, the skein looked like a length of intestine--pink with darker blotches. It actually is very pretty and subtle in the ball! My colorway name choice doesn’t speak too well for my future as a dyer, but it made us both laugh!

It is a laceweight yarn and is making a lovely, light wrap that I hope to use as a Christmas present. Cast this on as “trip knitting” just prior to the San Luis Obispo trip. Switched between this and the other loop throughout that trip and the camping trip that followed. Made pretty good progress on both.
