Warp is half gray Cottolin spirit yarn that Marsha found at Goodwill. It looks gray in the bag with the green yarn. Looks more purple on the warp with a warmer color.
The other half is Sierra Sienna brown cotton FoxFibre. It is a rusty brown that is looking more orange against the purplish gray. I also threw in some vertical warp stripes of a variegated Euroflax linen cone that I bought many years ago at the old Monarch. I was thinking of a lace shawl, but now that yarn is in my weaving stash.

Some reservations about the warp. The two yarns are very different in softness and stretchiness. My usual stripes are thin and I avoid having large blocks of different textures. Not sure how that will play out here. I wonder if I will end up with tension issues or if they will feel strange after they are made up. Or will the weft marry them sufficiently? An experiment! (This turned out not to be an issue at all.)
