Some polwarth-silk blend, 2-ply yarn that I spun this summer. I think the fiber was from Yarn Hollow. I wanted to try the Rikke hat with some sort of striping handspun and I really like the result. The hat seems sort of big, but I am a relatively small person. Also, I have very short hair. This will make a great hat for someone in my family with long hair. I think you could wear it even if your hair was twisted up in a bun since the back is very slouchy.

The somewhat reluctant model is Ruedy. She is happy that she is not the recipient of the hat!
