I love the look of this shawl and I love the colorway! I saw it on the Rainey Sisters blog and bought almost the exact yarn (plus another skein for my sister’s version) while in DC. Colleen’s is made and was given to her on Thanksgiving. (no photo or project page) Pattern is fun to knit and beautifully gothic!

Decided to do two repeats of pattern B since the first one left so much yarn unused. Now I am worrying about whether I will have enough!

Didn’t have enough for the second repeat. Ripped back and now I’m having difficulty finding where I am in the chart. I put it away for awhile, but now it is back on the active list.

I swear I have knitted every stitch in this shawl at least twice :-( When I started the stockinette, I forgot the yarnovers at the edges. As I said above I had to rip out the extra repeat that would have made me run out of yarn. Then for some reason, when I FINALLY found where I was and got started on the last chart of the lace, I just had concentration issues that KEPT occurring. Ugh! I did finally figure out my problems and manage to get my brain under control enough to finish! Ends woven in, but not blocked.

Notice the yarn left over in the finished picture. The small doesn’t use up all the yarn in the skein (far from it!) but an extra chart B is too much. An accomplished lace knitter might be able to figure out how to do about half of a second chart B.
