Oh oh, I knew I was playing yarn chicken, and now I’ve lost. I don’t have enough purple for the hem and cuffs. (This yarn was originally purchased for a baby sweater.) I do have a skein of black Simpliworsted. I’ll try out black/white hem and cuffs and see how it looks.

Arms seemed to be huge, just too many stitches. it called for reducing stitches twice after the pickup of sleeve stitches. I did that, and then reduced two stitches every 4-5 rows until I got down to 36 stitches for the cuffs. I can get my hand through that, so it should work for a small three year old.
