My head gets too warm when cross country skiing, but my ears still get cold. I needed a headband.

Cast on 18 stitches with a provisional cast on. K1P1 rib for about 7 inches, slipping the first stitch in the row. 9x9 cable cross. K1P1 and keep holding it up to my head til the size was right. Kitchener it to the provisional cast on. Quick and easy one evening project.

My own handspun from deep in the stash. Pretty old - lovely colors, but it’s crunchy. Really. Crunchy. Not a well spun yarn. But good for a headband.
