For my daughter in law - she’d like some warm lined mittens. She has red snow pants and a navy ski jacket, so I think these colors will coordinate. She has narrow hands, so I’ll cast on using one size smaller than called for - I’ll use US 2.

02.07.14 - cast on during the opening ceremonies.

02.08.14 - finished outer mitten #1. Didn’t try it on until it was finished. Should have tried it on sooner - it fits my daughter perfectly as it is, so it’ll be much too small when I line it. Starting OVER!! (with US 4 needles - now watch, it’ll turn out too BIG!)

02.10.14 - Half done with the mitten, and it’s STILL too small! Starting again with US 6 needles.

02.14.14 - Finally got gauge with size 6. First mitten outer is done.

02.20.14 - Done! Why does the lining always seem to take the longest?
