Notes

17th July 2014 - all finished ! I enjoyed making this and I am sure I will enjoy wearing this. I love the way the collar and general shaping of the front and peplum comes together at the end, really cool! Would look fab with a wide belt. Definitely something I would do again.
please see note for why this looks a little different to the others!

16h July 2014 - Yay!! 2nd sleeve done so now to the middle bit.

14th July 2014 - no idea why, but I am having a real problem getting the second sleeve to match the first, even though I followed the pattern to the letter then when that didn’t match I pulled it back and did it again and again and again just in case my tension had gone squify! After about attempt number 6 I decided that the only solution could be that I had done sleeve one wrong! So, as I have absolutely no intention of ripping back the whole thing I have decided to freestyle sleeve 2 to match sleeve 1!!
I don’t think it’s a pattern issue, more of a P.I.C.N.I.C issue ! :)

(P.I.C.N.I.C = Problem In Crafter Not In Chart/pattern ;) x)

11th July 2014 - the hook I am using is a 12mm but it doesn’t seem to be an option in the drop down :)
I thought it would be cool to photograph this as I went along.

NOTE : even though I ‘followed’ the pattern I realise that rather than crocheting this in the round, I have crocheted this in rows!
Looking back through the pattern there is only ‘ch2’ on the first row, from then on its ‘dc’ only (increasing and decreasing as well depending on where you are in the pattern) I have ‘ch2’ at the start of every row and then joined the row with a ‘slip stitch’.
I think this explains why my version looks squarer than the original, personally I like rows rather than rounds in something like this as it makes it even simpler without the need for round markers, and also I find it more satisfying when you come to join the row, as you can have a little celebration knowing that one more row is finished, but that’s probably just me!
