25th August 2014 - All finished! This was lovely to crochet on a chilly day. I decided a slouchy version was in order so I repeated rows 10 & 11 twice. After the decrease row (13) the head hole seemed really big so I repeated the row and then did two rows of sc before changing yarn colour back.
Carried on with rows 16 & 17 for the brim and finally I repeated row 16 so it looked more mop hat. I really like this, it is fun and really cosy. I think I will make a detachable crochet bow or flower in the second colour just for a little added glam!

25th August 2014 - in the Uk today is a bank holiday, which means it’s is an extra day off to have fun and craft! The weather at this time if year should be sunny and hot, instead it’s is rather chilly and rainy. What a perfect day to crochet a chunky snugly something!
As I sit deciding what to start I keep thinking know cold my head is and so decision made. A hat, but not just any hat, it needs to be warm and snugly and just a little silly, perfect for a holiday day.
I found this! So here goes :)
