I’m adding a three stitch garter border to the top to try to control the curling this time. Trying to figure out the increases to blend the border into the lace pattern somewhat seamlessly fried my mind until I sat down and charted it out. Now it’s smooth sailing!

I’m using the Blue Box Exploding for the time vortex lace and the TARDIS blue for the TARDIS border and keeping my fingers crossed that I don’t get any weird pooling.

I picked up the lights at Hobby Lobby and added one to the top of each TARDIS. For stability I cut circles out of an old file folder, colored the circles blue with a Crayola marker and then punched holes in them, one larger one for the light and four smaller ones to tie them to the shawl. I used leftovers from the TARDIS Blue so that the ties would be somewhat invisible.

The lights are just a fun touch for San Diego Comic-Con, I will most likely remove them after I get home so I can wear the shawl normally without having to deal with the wires all the time. I wish I could have the TARDIS sound but I ran out of time. Maybe next year… :D
