One thing I love about weaving is the economical use of yarn. I can’t believe how little yarn this used.

I wove 12 squares, pieced them together with a loose overcast stitch that flattened out beautifully, then slip-stitched with crochet hook around entire outside edge.

This is a “meditation mat” for my friend, Diane, who is under a lot of stress as she cares for both her husband and mother as they undergo chemotherapy.

My heart and prayers are with her.
