After gathering up perhaps a hundred or more squares and other motifs from around the house -- some trial pieces for afghans in mind, others more than needed for a pattern made mindlessly -- I decided to start cobbling them together to make some patchwork afghans to donate to Project Linus. This is the first in this effort: mostly in shades of blue. I made two additional squares to fill out the rectangle. Some were motifs that I made into squares; some were squares that needed enlarging. The border is a 2 trc, 3 trc repeat with 3 trc ch3 3trc corners to form a ruffle with some stash sports yarn to make an sc edging.
