Place 1st marker after last st and pick up and knit 60 st along left side of the bottom (1 st for 1 garter ridge)
Place 2nd marker after last st and pick up and knit 15 st along cast-on edge (1 st for each cast-on st)
Place 3rd marker after last st and pick up and knit 60 st along right side of the bottom (1 st for 1 garter ridge)
Place 4th marker and begin working in the round ➔ 150 st
-round 1 : K all stitches slipping all markers as you come to them
-round 2 : * SM P15 SM K60 repeat from * once
repeat alternatively round 1 & 2 6 times (14 total rounds), then work round 1 again.
-round 16 : * SM P1 P2togTBL P9 P2tog P1 SM K60 repeat from * once ➔ 146 st
repeat alternatively round 1 & 2 7 times (14 total rounds).
-round 31 : * SM K1 SSK K7 K2tog K1 SM K60 repeat from * once ➔ 142 st

flap

Work flat in stockinette stitch with a 5st garter border at each side for 40 rounds (20 garter ridges):
-round 1 : P5 K60 P5
-round 2 : P70
repeat alternatively round 1 & 2 20 times (40 total rounds),
bind off loosely
roughly weave yarn end in.

Before felting, your project should look like a very old floorcloth
Next step will reduce its measurements (to half is expected) and sturdy the fabric

felting

put your finished object in the washing machine with your weekly laundry (towels and/or jeans are ideal) add soap and choose long, warm and non gentle cycle.

When the washing cycle is finished, if you’re satisfied with the fabric obtained and the dimensions of your wallet, you can block it in the right shape and iron it.
If not satisfied with the fabric or dimensions, you can wash it again in the same manner or machine dry it until the desired sturdiness is reached.

Add the snaps on the flap and the front of the kit 
or sew the buttons on the front and cut 2 button-holes in the flap.
