1 skein could be enough for this project if knit strictly as per pattern, however, as my guy enjoys folding the brims of his beanies, I had to add 3 grams left over from his scarf.

• Judy’s Magic cast-on 84 st onto US3 & US5 needles
• Worked in Stockinette st with US6 over the stitches from US5 needle
• began decreases after 13cm (this is a bit too much if brim isn’t folded; but not enough if it’s folded, next time try 11cm or 15cm)
• stopped the only knit rounds after K5 K2tog around
• worked in K2P2 rib with US5 needle over the stitches from US3 needle. 15 rounds then BO in pattern with US6 needle
