Notes

I love wearing shawls, but it is no fun when a tip of one dangles into my food or gets into my cooking. So here is my Seeds to Flowers shawl tipless, converted to a cowl, which nevertheless has a nice curve both at the top and at the bottom edges.

The knitting starts with just a few stitches. While working the stockinette body flat, plant some beads for seeds. The rest of the cowl is worked in the round: stems and leaves of Japanese lace, Estonian lace buds and fully blossoming flowers sprinkled with dew-like beads.

The cowl is designed for fingering weight yarn. The size can be easily adjusted by working more or fewer rows of the stockinette body.
