This pullover was an experiment, inspired by a Repetto t-shirt. Since then, I have knitted two more in the same style, and written the pattern/recipe for a custom fit. This is now available from my Ravelry store.
On the prototype, front and back are identical and sewn together at the sides. Now I know the bottom is better worked in the round. I suppose I could have declared it a strapless top and be finished, but it didn’t stay up! And after the long sleeves were sewn in, the neck was still way too wide. So, instead of adding a separate lace collar as planned, I knitted the collar straight on like a yoke. Now it works.
All the main parts are knitted on 2.00 mm needles, for the yoke I started with 4.00 mm, and reduced the needle size gradually.
