Notes

Dear Myra Wood, I’ll never forgive you for inspiring me to make this. Because it was, indeed, crazy! I started with a sleeve, washed it while still unfinished in order to find out whether it was long enough, after more than a year I finished the back, after one and a half years it was finally done.
I can’t agree with you, Myra, that random lace knitting is easier than following a pattern: I had to make a decision for nearly every stitch, and I needed to count the stitches every other row in order to get the right shape. Because, while most lace knitters make shawls and scarves, I - being a practical person - prefer to make something I can wear every day.
