My third Hvirvelstroem already! This time, I adapted the pattern to the larger gauge on 4 mm needles. I made the circle only 72 stitches wide, with the first welt after 17 rows, and every further welt after 18 rows, 13 welts in all. It worked just as well as with finer yarn and needles.
Just like my other Hvirvelstroems, I worked the sleeves in 4x4 ribbing.
When the cardigan was finished, I decided to add a little extra finishing, and knitted a 7-stitch biased strip in stockinette and sewed it around the edges. That was tedious work, but I think it looks a lot more sophisticated now.
