Is there a cure for the almond addiction?
Well, for this short-sleeved pullover I cast on 147 stitches for 6 pattern repeats, worked straight until the armpits, cast on another 48 stitches on each side for another 2 pattern repeats, worked straight again until I thought the sleeves were wide enough, bound off the middle 3 pattern repeats for the neck opening and put the remaining sleeve and shoulder stitches on separate needles in order to knit them together with the other half. Back and front are identical except for a few extra rows in simple ribbing on the top of the sleeves in front. I should have worked a few more rows in simple ribbing both on the bottom and the top of the sleeves in order to prevent bumps made by the pattern’s scalloped edge, although they aren’t noticeable when I have the pullover on. I joined both halves by a three-needle-bind-off.
