I’m making these as a Christmas gift for Aidan’s sister, her partner, and their son. I’m using green and white for the parent’s stockings, and red and white for my nephew. That way, down the road when they have more kids I have the option of making the same pattern using a different contrast color without having to worry about tracking down discontinued colors. (Of course, that’s assuming that they like them!)

I’m subbing Wool of the Andes worsted for the Telemark called for in the pattern and I like how they are working up.

We’re trying to keep gifts on the cheap this year, and the cost for this project works out to be about $7 a person, so I think that’s pretty good.
