I made the top in round and faked an XS size by casting on 87 + 87 stitches. I also add some waist shapping to keep it from looking to boxy and lenghtned the body (16 inches with the ribbing).
Then I slipped the back 81 stitches on to waste yarn and started working the lattice.
At the neck opening I left 19 stitches for each shoulder in scrap yarn. Then I rejoined the yarn to the back and worked the lattice to match the front. I then bind off the strands to make the neck oppening in the back and used a 3 needle bind off to unite the shoulders.
