I enjoyed knitting up La Cumparsita so much that another fingering-weight shawl just about leaped onto my needles.

I like the motif in AeRang a lot, but the charts in the pattern were really difficult to read, so I have recharted them in Excel for myself. Much clearer, and now I can zoom along with the knitting!

Notes:

• Finished the knitting on July. 26th/09; just need to weave in ends, wash, and block!
• I didn’t like the edge pattern, plus I was concerned about how much yarn I had left, so I did a simple garter border. I did 6 rows (3 ridges) to match the 3-stitch border on the sides. Nice and tidy!
• I have about 5 grams of yarn left. Phew!
• Pre-blocking, the widest point of the shawl was about 36”. Post-blocking, it had grown to 56”!
