Notes

My latest shawl pattern! Brightness and Contrast is meant to transform wildly multi-coloured yarns from challenging to simply brilliant. So many of us, as knitters, encounter these yarns in LYSes or at festivals or online, and covet them, as perfect, gorgeous skeins… but they can be so challenging to find patterns for, patterns that allow them to live up to their true potential.

This shawl uses a single-row stripe technique, combined with a textural stitch pattern in a feature band, to really let the colours sing.
