I bought a bag of the Cool Crochet yarn at Spinrite -- there are about 8 balls’ worth in the bag, and bags were $6 apiece but buy-2-get-1-free. I figure that my $4 will make this scarf and a hat to go with it.

I chose the feather-and-fan pattern because I don’t love the way that the colours pool and stripe with this yarn. The curving lines break that up somewhat. I’m pleased with how quickly this is knitting up!
