My first “grown-ass woman” sweater -- I’ve only made baby sweaters until now! This one’s for me, baby.

Cast off the bottom of the body on June 5. Sleeves are on hold for a few days until I get a 16” circ -- magic loop + fighting the bulk of the body with every round = grumpy Annie. Not so much grumpy, actually, as just fidgety -- I can’t get more than a couple of rows done in a sitting, before I’m distracted and doing something else.

I finished the sweater when Mr. Bee and I took a vacation at the end of June. The bulk and wooliness of the sweater made it impractical and uncomfortable to have in my lap, until we got to the hotel and checked into our air-conditioned room! The second sleeve whizzed past in about 48 hours, and I was able to wear the finished sweater out to the theatre on the last night of our stay!
