I love this little mitered dress, and I hope that wee Dorian can wear this for a good long while. My gauge was slightly bigger than called for, so though I knit the 6 month size, it’s probably closer to a 9 month fit -- and because the only fitted part is the torso at the underarms, there’s plenty of room to grow. Hopefully it can be a dress, and then a tunic, and eventually a tee.

I modified the edging, doing plain garter stitch instead of eyelet rows, and I didn’t stop increasing as the pattern calls for. I prefer the angularity of the points, rather than the rounded corners.

The button on the back is from my grandmother’s button jar. It’s sparkly and geometric and girly -- but not fussy in the least, just like the dress.
