Dan asked me to make him mittens! We had a great time searching through options, and he settled on this pattern. Using some deep-stash alpaca from the Orangeville area.

Made a Pinstriping Peter hat with the leftover yarn, so Dan has a coordinating set. He’s thrilled with both -- the mittens fit well, with enough room to stick a pair of light-weight texting gloves underneath for added warmth.
