Using the yarn triple-stranded for thick and quick impact (and some warmth and structure which would otherwise be hard to get from cotton viscose yarn!). I can’t go to Washington to march, but I can make my own views clear and be part of this larger movement.

CO 68 sts, and working with EmilyIngrid’s project notes on working in the round. (I figured 72 sts, which she recommends, was slightly too much with the larger needles and tripled yarn.)

I sewed a couple of stitches on each ear to make sure they stay pointy and catlike.

I figure this was the equivalent of about 100 yards of yarn, but since it was triple-stranded, and since the original yarn label didn’t have any yardage/weight information, it’s hard to know!

Made a second hat, similar yardage, for Kim -- and we wore them proudly in the Toronto March!
