I am seriously loving the way these are knitting up. The Rowan Fine Tweed is thick and thin in places, and I was worried that would impact the ability to show the picture on the mittens -- but thankfully, the image is coming out beautifully. The wool is scratchy in the ball, but knit up, it feels velvety.

These blocked really well, and came out exactly the same size — always a thrill.

I’m delighted to find that they go really well with my Thicket hat, so for once I’ll have a coordinating set of accessories!

The mittens are a great fit, and I’m really looking forward to wearing them. Too many of my mittens have been samples, and therefore sit unworn to keep them pristine!

These mittens won 1st prize in the 2016 KWKG Adjudicated show, in the “Ooooh!” feet and hands category. The prize was a Lucy Neatby book (Cool Socks Warm Feet), the EVO Socks from Sweet Georgia, a Party of Five yarn set (glittery!) from Sweet Georgia, and a skein of Biscotte and Cie yarn.
