Provisional Cast on 120 sts on US2.5 circular. Did a fold under brim. Switched to US 4s after brim and added sts to make 144 sts for adventure motifs (altered hiker to have long hair rather than flowy scarf since this is for my daughter who loves backpacking in the snow) and silvery dividing portions. Decreased before star crown decreases to make groups of 16 with golden star rays at st 8 and 16 in each section. Added gold on either side on each k row (non- decrease) to create star. I’ll get better pictures once I give it to her.
