This hat will be for the mornings when my husband has to be out with his crew plowing the airfield.

There are a couple numerical errors in the pattern: In the decrease rounds, the first set say that they decrease eight sts, it is actually four. The last set says that it decreases 12 sts and actually decreases only eight. Other than that, I had no trouble with the pattern at all.

Obviously, it was not finished for Christmas Day, but should be finished before the end of the 12 days of Christmas.

I don’t like the sloppiness of changing colors in ribbing, so I knit one round plain when I changed colors, then continued in ribbing, so this won’t be perfectly reversible.

Also, I only had a little of the blue left, so I just knit with it until I couldn’t knit a full round, then changed to the sand color. It’s not quite two inches, more like an inch and a half.
