Notes

First project using stranded colorwork.

Decided to switch main and contrast colors after swatching.

Using Italian tubular cast on as pattern calls for, but repeating set-up rounds worked flat for a nicer edge. Shortening cuff ribbing from 14 rounds to 12 to make up for extra rounds worked flat.

To make the tubular bind off match, set-up rounds are repeated and, this time, only one ribbing round removed.

“Seam” stitches done in CC rather than MC.

I ended up holding my floats a little too tight; while I sized up to make a medium, the final measurements are more like a small. The mitts are a bit tight, but stretched well enough during blocking that I can (fairly) easily pull them on and off.
