Notes

I love how this sweater can be more or less demure, using the buttons makes a big difference. The pattern is very clearly written, which is good because there are places with multiple types of shaping going on at once. I used a spare piece of paper as recommended in the pattern to keep track of everything. And I still ended up with 4 buttonholes instead of 3. I never knit exactly to the directions, ever.

I found these perfect little green buttons on etsy, now I have 13 more to use somewhere else…

3/10: picked up the sleeve when I needed something simple and oops! Finished it. Will need to break into my thirds skein for the last 8 inches of single crochet trim. Sadness…

2/18: I’m finished through the sleeve cap of the second sleeve! So close, and yet so far… This is going into hibernation in favor of some deadline projects…

1/31: waist decreases are so neat and tidy. But I can see how the bust shaping is going to require: Paying Attention.

1/27: I used the crochet cast on where you loop the crochet stitches around the needle as you go. It’s BRILLIANT! Then I knit 3 rounds and went to bed.

I swatched TWICE for this top. The directions are so specific I want to check row gauge too (craziness) Also, ripping 214 stitches for lack of swatching seemed like a bad idea.
