This yarn really lends itself to broomstick lace.

I got a dowel from Michael’s, cut it to length, and sanded it down really well. As an extra touch, I rubbed some lanolin all over it.

Making this scarf narrow but really long so she can wear it long, wrap it several times… whatever.

Pattern is 25 stitches, 5 sets of 5st broomstick, then back across the row once with SC to add stability. Nothing too complicated!

UPDATE: Came out really nice, mom was really happy with it. Looked exactly as I thought it would on her -- perfect colors & length.
