Converted the pattern for a pair of mittens.

Oct, 31: After unraveling several times I’m finally satisfied with how the right mitten came out.
Only one more to knit…

Oct, 25: Unraveled the whole mitten. I didn´t like how it turned out.
Inspired of the pattern Karin Kurbits mittens I rechartered cuff and thumb and started again.

Mods:

• CO 52 sts. and knitted 3 rows seed stitch.

• Then knitted the eight notes section.

• 10 rows 1x1 rib, 1k white, 1p black ( actually dark gray).

• Then knitted the dots section and in 4-th row M1 for thumb gusset after the first stitch on 3-rd needle for the right mitten.

• Continued increases for thumb gusset every 3-th row until I got 17 sts for the gusset.

• Left those sts on waist yarn and CO 3 sts for thumb. Decreased those sts in second and third row = 52 sts left.

• Continued the main pattern and added one extra eight notes section.

• Knitted 7 rows 1k white, 1k black then decreased sts for top of mitten in every row until I had 8 sts left.

• Thumb: picked up 5 sts + 17 sts from the gusset. Knitted until the desired length and decreased on 3 places in every row until I had 8 sts left. Decreased with ssk on one thumb and k2tog on another to get them mirrored.

Oct, 17:

• I started thumbs right after the eighth notes section an increased with LLI and RLI not in the middle of the thumb but as usual, on both sides of thumb. Increased 3 times in every 4-th row then 5 times every 3-d row. Totally 8 sts. increased on each side of thumb.

• Rechartered thumb pattern that the note lines continue over the thumb on right mitten. Added year and name on the inside of the eighth notes section to get the mittens more personal. (Last 2 pictures shows the first attempt of mittens).
