Because Nick is such a super-awesome physics TA, and he’s defending at the end of the semester, he deserves a super-awesome appreciation gift.
29/10/11 - Like all Hansi Singh patterns, it’s way more fiddly than necessary, for no good reason. She somehow expanded what was basically a large thumb hole, but for hind legs, into two rows, with a fiddly cast-on that leaves gaping holes, that has the same endproduct as a normal thumb hole. I still appreciate how awesome her amigurumi are, and there is no way I could come up with a lot of the shaping she does, but some of her tendencies really bug me.
2/11/11 - Done! But really, I was pretty much done two days ago - yesterday I finished the antlers, and sewed on them and the ears. This morning I embroidered the eyes and nose. Thinking of re-knitting with major mods, and posting the mods on my blog.
