Colourway 15 Amethyst. For my crazy lifelong friend who is mad about purple!

14/9 First pattern set completed. Two and half more times to go. This is the fourth time which I’ve made this throw in different colour ways. It is really simple but looks beautiful and really shows off the colours and textures of the various Colinette yarns to their full advantage.

20/9 Second pattern set complete. I love knitting this pattern and watching it grow and come together. After mainly knitting garments for the past year this makes a nice change especially knowing that there will be no making up to do at the end. I’m catching the ends in as I go along.

30/9 Throw completed. Just need to add fringe.

15/10 Fringe added. Each tassel has 5 strands (3 mohair and 2 random others). Wool was cut to lengths of about 35cm. I almost wish I was keeping this but I am pretty certain that this won’t be the last Absolutely Fabulous Throw I make. It’s a joy to knit.
