Enjoying knitting this and can’t help but wonder what it might look like all in white with different textures rather than different colors?

I’ve been wanting to find a way to use this lovely alpaca where I have one skein of each color and when I saw this wonderful pattern I wanted to make it too. I hope that my color choices come out as lovely as Marylene Lynx’s! I have the initial ribbing done and have just started the first course of stripes…

Many, many weeks later, I only have 18 more stripes to go before I can start the lace. Love the balanced way the colors come out even though I’m using different yarn. Both excited and full of trepidation to start the lace…in a few weeks. Yet another project is intervening in my desire to finish this before winter ends ;).

All over but the blocking! The lace border was super easy to knit and a welcome relief after all of that stockinette :). I like the color changes on the last bit of the border.

I was :) before the blocking and now I’m :D! afterwards - looks great and came out even slightly larger (+10 cm) than the pattern measurements. Perfect for the Lombard spring!
