Notes

Nov. 24th - decided to stop at 7-1/4” before working the crown decreases as I really don’t want it THAT slouchy and the hat is clearly on the large side for the circumference. I do like the texture and the ‘squishy’ quality of the fabric.

I’ve been wanting to make a fisherman’s rib hat from this one skein of natural ‘ombre’ handspun that I had sitting around. My gauge with this light weight yarn was a bit different than the pattern so I just went with the instructions for 104 stitch cast on as the material is super stretchy though I’ll use the length for the adult small size (9-1/4”) before the shaping for a deep cuff. I did like the edge made with the long-tail tubular cast on.
