Notes

Washed, blocked and my husband tried them on. His comment “These are amazing! They look like Norwegian wedding socks! My favourites after my Monte Rosa Socks.”
so, that’s sayin’ summit!

Arriving at the heel I decided to keep the purl stitch on each side with 3 ‘stripes’ of diagonal rib centered across the top of the foot while working the reinforced heel and gusset with a U.S. size 1 needle to reinforce.

Because of the above I am now going to insert three short rows across the sole (using Carol Sunday’s short row technique) and leaving 8 stitches on either side. This should even up the length of the top and the sole.

They are looking great (both yarn and pattern) my husband is thrilled and keeps remarking about how beautiful they are :).
