this is the 8th pair of socks I’ve made for my husband over the last 12 months. One more to go and then I’m done for the season ;). I really like how these came out. I narrowed them at the ankle and then expanded again as they neared the calf. The only disappointment is that I noticed I did the toe increases differently on the two socks…one of the hazards of making them up as one goes along rather than following a pattern. As a result one toe is more attractive than the other. I’ve decided not to go back and change it; after all, these will be stuffed into the toes of his work boots! I’m interested to see how they hold up to hard wear. My socks in this yarn have held up great but I’m easy on socks. I’m hoping the doubled yarn will make them a bit more rugged.
