Decided to make a cowl version of this in a lovely, bulky Italian wool. I found the long edge used in the pattern lumpy and 31 stitches SUPER wide in my yarn. Ripped out and decided to cast on 15 stitches (with a provisional crochet cast on) and then slip the first stitches of each row after the set up row. Much prettier! I’m hoping the graft will work out if I follow the video I watched for brioche stitch grafting…I guess I’ll find out when I get to the end! Obviously a really fast knit :).

Love the yarn, it spliced beautifully when I went to add the second skein plus it’s so ‘puffy’ and cuddly. I now have 24” and wrapping that bit around my neck it seems that 60” for a finished length will be just right. Still keeping my fingers crossed that the graft will look good.

Found these good video tutorials for grafting brioche, it’s similar enough that the graft came out pretty nice. At least if it slides from the back to the side I don’t think anyone will notice it :).
Super warm, squishy and comfy!
