This is really an easy lace pattern, I’ve been working with the written directions and using a post-it to keep track of where I am since I have to knit in fits and starts. The yarn is amazingly soft and springy but quite difficult to rip back so I’ve been trying to stay focused on not making any mistakes ;).

Something went a bit wacky with the garter stitch part, I placed the markers very carefully, went back and forth picking up 1 in each direction until I had 132 but when I started picking up two I had 4 more stitches on one side than on the other….oh well, once I noticed I started picking up three on one side and two on the other so that it will even out before I get to the end. I’m also not crazy about how the picked up stitches look on the curve.
I keep telling myself that this shawl is so fuzzy that hopefully it will all just blend in after the washing and blocking and if it doesn’t, I’m the only one who will notice that it’s not perfect.
