Notes

Now well into the stripes, each one is 18 rows so it goes along at a good pace when I stick to it. Only the Indigo and Violet to finish on the body and the left sleeve, all of the right sleeve and the turtleneck to go but feeling positive that I can get this one finished up by mid-month.
Done! Very happy with the finished sweater. I’ll let you know how the yarn washes and if it pills but knitting with it was such a pleasure it’s hard to immagine that it will.

My only complaint about the pattern is that picking up the neck stitches to make the turtle neck left a not-so-pretty ridge so I did a knit facing with a size smaller needle which is (at least pre-blocking) a bit thick.

Finally made it past the shoulders and into the body striping, easy and smooth sailing! It’s just having to stop and wind the skeins into balls that’s slowing me down!

mods: making this for my 6 year old so size modified slightly.
After my bad experience with discount super-wash wool, I’m re-making this sweater with good, organic yarn and also top down so that length can be added as my girl gets taller.
