Got and weighed the ball: 50 gram remain. No wonder it still looks very big!

Both heels done! The first is a bit screwed up because my modification plan didn’t work out. I made the second heel close to the pattern and it fits perfect. Well, you live and you learn ;)
Now all that’s left is the leg. I want to use as much of the yarn as possible.

Well, there wasn’t much to tell, just plain 2x2 rib the whole foot. Then I inserted the holder for the heel and continued in 2x2 rib.
But after a few cm in the leg I became very curious about the afterthought heel. So I seperated the socks (I knit 2aat usually) and picked up the stitches on one sock. It went very smooth, and way better than I thought. I’m now almost done with the first heel, and it’s actually fun. I can’t believe this.
The heel was modified, though: Since I have a rather big heel, I decreased only half the stitches until I had 28 on each needle, and then continued decreasing 2 stitches in every row.

Cast on yesterday. After the toes were done, I wasn’t quite sure how to proceed. Initially, I wanted to make Kebnekaise Socks, but the yarn has too much green and I figured it would not look good. So I settled for 2x2 rib throughout.
