Notes

A hat! A hat whose pattern was inspired by a mathematical theory, and suggests you spin the yarn in a particular way to highlight that mathy ness. So of course I used yarn that was not spun in that way at all.

This took no time at all to knit up. I think the spinning took longer than the knitting (which was probably about 3 hours).

I really like this pattern, and fully intend to make more. I will probably make a few changes, just to suit my hat preferences. I’d like the brim to be about .5 inch narrower than it is, as well as a different stitch pattern (maybe just regular seed st, maybe something more complex).

This is kind of a fake hat, however. I don’t really intend to keep it. I mostly wanted to have another example of my handdyed/handspun. And I have that now! Hooray!

In order to get a good distrubution of sts picked up from the brim, I did 2 sts out of every 3. It worked out very well!
