The weight on the yarn is not so correct. The finished shawl weighs 89 grams, and there was NOT 24 grams left over. There was like…2 grams. So, not a full 4 oz.

This shawl was a little bonkers. I didn’t have an edge pattern in mind, but I wanted to start a shawl, so I figured ‘eh, standard stockinette body, and I’ll figure out the stitch count when I get to it’.

Yeah, that was dumber than I thought. I had a shocking amount of difficulty in finding the right edge pattern that would fit across a reasonable number of sts. Ugh. I made SO MANY excel charts of my queued shawls.

So it sat in the pile of shame for several weeks.

I eventually found a new-to-me pattern with an awesome teeny, tiny st count per repeat. Yaaaay. And Harry Potter inspired, extra nerdy bonus!

I did not do the Chart B, because I didn’t really like the blocky look of it. So I just did a crochet bind off, similar to Haruni, because it, and picot bind offs are my very favourite style.

Oh, and the pictures at the end. I was trying to do a bit of a blocking tutorial, but I did not have a tripod, so the pictures are unacceptably blurry. From the bottom, we have unblocked, then wet set, and laid flat to dry, and finally, wet set, and pinned to shape.
