Started knitting the XL size… But as my swatch was a bit small, went for the XXL size instead !

What I love about this project :

• The top-down / one piece construction (first try at this method)
• The beautiful raglan sleeves (first try as well)
• The yarn ! So soft and warm already, and it has not been washed yet !

What I don’t like about this project :
- Knitting rows with 302 stitches, lazy me ! ;)

Progress & adjustments :

23/07/2012 : Lenghtened the sleeves (30 cm instead of 23) and knit them in the round. Started knitting the body.

07/08/2012 : Lenghtened under the arm before beginning back waistband. Went for 23 cm instead of 17 as directed in the pattern, and I will probably lenghten the rest of the body before beginning the pockets. I am tall (1m75 / 5’9”), and I want this cardigan quite long, so I’m in for the extra-knitting ;)

14/08/2012 : Did the pocket linings before finishing the body, so as to give me an idea of how much i still have to knit. Made 7 rows of the pockets, 45 more to go ;) Planning on making 12 to 16 garter ridges on the bottom instead of 8.

17/08/2012 : Just finished the pockets, the only part I have left to do is the bottom border, which will be somewhere between 24 and 32 rows…

19/08/2012 : I’M DONE !!! :) The cardi’s blocking right now. I am really happy to be done with it, it was a bit long, especially since I was concentrating on this project (and thus not knitting anything else). Will had pictures soon.

I’m ready for fall :)
