I’m combining two projects to make one rocket ship lovey for a friend’s newborn. I made the rocket ship larger by incorporating extra rows and increasing the largest circumference of stitches. I also decided to make just one bulbous, cartoony window and three engines instead of four.

I played and lost an initial game of Yarn Chicken while making the blanket, but readjusted my gauge and changed the points to the small shell motif, rather than the large shell, and that worked out to give me enough yarn to finish that row. I sewed the ship to the blanket using more yellow yarn, and off to my friend it went!
